We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to benefit from the musical instruction, positive atmosphere and peer collaboration that is inherent in the school band program.

The Bandmasters provide excellent professional development and mentorship opportunities for the band directors of Montana at the Montana Music Educators Association annual conference, at our summer workshop, Rendezvous, and through professional articles featured in the MMEA journal, Cadenza.

The Bandmasters award an annual scholarship to one future music educator graduating from a Montana high school who will be attending a Montana college or university.

The Bandmasters provide organizational support for the Montana High School Association All-State Music Festival and input to the MHSA Music Committee and the MMEA Executive Board.

As an affiliate of Montana Music Education Association, MBA members also belong to the National Association for Music Education. The Bandmasters hold their annual business meetings during the October MMEA Conference.
